It's called the OX Seal Knife. (made to accompany the S.E.A.L. Teams during the early 1980's).

Re: Could someone explain the lack of enthusiasm?
From now on, I'll refrain from posting anything concerning American switchblades. By the way, my Buck 110 Auto (manufactured on 2/05/18) arrived today. This is the end of my discussion concerning the piece.
Good day.

Re: A.G.A. 10"- 5mm Picklocks
Those are the pinnacle of Italian production stilettos. If they could have the proper blade (with a concave-type grind) it could even prove useful. They aren't much longer than my AGA Fishtails.
I'm impressed.

Dave:
Would you please post the final model of "Boats" for the forum? I would like for the Forum to understand the concept behind the knife. Why, and how it is being created may help people comprehend the reasoning for its creation.
Thanks.

Re: Il Punto, The Point, Updated
The knife appears to be the ultimate "Icepick" style automatic, lock-back knife. If this "superb stabber" had a 440C or better blade, it would work well in either a spy thriller or a street rumble. 8) Scales from either Mother Of Pearl, Abalone, Faux Ivory or a nice Dark Horn would compliment...

Re: Original Black Beauty
Beautiful old knives. It is too bad that so many have been destroyed. The Italian Stiletto, while iconic, is so limited in use.
Pity.

Re: Ripper, Jack The
When at long last I have "Boats" it will be worth the wait. The few knives that I have that could possibly beat it would be my "early model" Benchmade AFO, SOG Spec Elite 2 Auto, Buck 110 Auto, or Buck 898 Impact. Anything more useful would have to be a sheath knife. BTW, my Stag-scaled Queen #1L sw...

Re: COLONIAL OTF
The last time I heard about the knife it had been said that it resembled the Taiwanese Lightning OTF. I can see where someone could get this impression. It may be made from Taiwanese parts and assembled in the US of A. (a distinct possibility).
Who knows?

Re: Could someone explain the lack of enthusiasm?
There are more US manufacturers than those in Italy. American manufacturers tend to hold tighter tolerances. While the Italians make great knives, the Americans, like the Germans and Chinese (yes, I said it) tend to make more useful tools rather than a romantic object of affection. I enjoy my Italia...

Re: New AKC F-16 OTF Blue or White
That looks nearly as good as my black F-16. For a Bayonet blade, they are decent cutters too. This knife has the Fishtail Picklock "seal of approval"!
