Re: When To Say When......!
I vaguely remember when I had that little invested in knives!

Re: Ca phe sua da
I occasionally make it at home. It's easy to make. I picked up a couple of the 1 cup brewers and there is an Asian market not too far away that carries the coffee.

Re: Happy Birthday javacupper!
Thanks guys, I appreciate your good wishes. It's turning out to be a nice day. Angelo just informed me that was shipping some Leverletto kits today that I had ordered from him. I also received this message from Sara Beltrame this morning: "HAPPY BIRTHADY FROM BELTRAME COMPANY. as gift we inform you ...

Re: Do these scissors constitute a switchblade?
Jim - yep I learned that way back when I worked in a storeroom & needed a knife to open boxes. Bucks work well at that can't use a box cutter on boxes held together with those big copper staples. Damn! I thought there were only 2 people in the world that could do that. Holy Cow! I opened a b...

Re: Eclectic July
Very nice! How do you like the blue line? For $65 it's a decent knife. It's very thin and lightweight. The ATS-34 blade is just less than 3/32" thick. The aluminum handle is about .4" thick near the button and about 5/16" on the back two thirds of the handle. I'm more comfortable with thicker knive...

Eclectic July
Right now I'm waiting patiently for my Damascus swinguard from Frank B., my forum knife, an order from Angelo and a custom from Adams Knifeworks but that didn't slow me down. I'm a true addict  I had to play with new toys so here are my new toys for July: from the top, an 11" Frank B. ram swin...

Re: Do these scissors constitute a switchblade?
Here in Missouri under normal circumstances they are both perfectly legal. As Bill indicated they are not considered knives or weapons. If you were to use either as a weapon to threaten someone then they are considered to be weapons. In Missouri it is illegal to brandish a weapon even if you legally...

Re: Another newbie question: AB white acrylic?
Here is a picture of 3 Frank B. handles. The top is imitation ivory, the middle one is real MOP, and the bottom is the cracked ice acrylic. A photo doesn't do MOP justice because it constantly changes with the lighting and viewing angle. The plastics cannot duplicate that effect. http://i831.photobu...

Fire Eric Holder
With the Justice Dept. obstructing the investigation into the BATF Fast and Furious scandel, withholding information and lying to both the American people and Mexican Officials, it is time to fire Eric Holder! Here is the link to the petition being collected by the NRA. If you have not yet signed on...

Re: Where does your screen name come from?
Mine came from another hobby. I'm so addicted to coffee that I decided I might as well make it a hobby. I buy green coffee beans and homeroast my own coffee. My daily drink is a blend of Sumatra, Yemen Mohka and Java coffees. It's amazing how well gifts of fresh roasted coffee go over with my local ...

Spyderco Vallotton Sub-hilt
Every once in a while something catches my eye that I decide I must have even if it is legal! This Butch Vallotton designed Spyderco Sub-hilt folder caught my eye and arrived in the mail today. Maybe it was because it almost doesn't look legal. The blade is 3.68" of CPM S30V powder steel with ...

Below is a picture of one of the new damascus swinguards borrowed from Slojoe's site. Frank emailed me that they would be available in buffalo horn, blond horn, stag, bone and abalone. I sent them a back spine that I fileworked, pictured below. Sara emailed me that they just received it. Frank is go...
