Re: Defense
All of the back and forth about training and choice of weapon here bespeaks a certain common misunderstanding about the predictable effects of creating a wound in an adversary. The first thing that you must understand that in a combat situation, most weapons are not intended to produce a fatality. F...

...and The Ugly. All of us have watched this Masterpiece by Sergio Leone. I myself have watched it 100 times over. Tonight I watched it on a 52" inch screen and saw something I never caught before. Watch the first few minutes where Lee Van Cleef rides in and eats stew with the guy and his family. F...

Ohhhhhhhh ... now that makes more sense. (You have to break down to one syllable words for some of us, Bill - we don't have your experience or world view.)Bill DeShivs wrote:Blade shape is original.

Re: Help me ID this trench weapon
Just realized that there aren't two tips, that's an end view. This looks like something an enterprising machinist would make to carry into the trenches, or in support of a loved one going to the trenches. A lot of it is metal lathe work, the knurling, threading, tapering, the small pins ... But then...

Re: Help me ID this trench weapon
Think I get the ideal now. The knuckle duster part has two alternative tips, one sharp and one rounded? Or do they mount to opposite ends? The sharper one has that twist, like a self tapping screw, as if it could drill in.

Re: Custom Horse Hoof Pick Auto
Thanks everyone. I am not on the net too much, but I will post more pics later. For now, this one is the knife used as the logo for a site that sells parts. I saw a thread here where a guy had the parts all laid out and was going to build a knife out of all of it. The parts do work, this can be done w...
