Re: WTB: Display stand
Well, I ordered the CASTLECREEK Collector's Cabinet Display Case made by Sportsmans Guide. For a hundred bucks, shipped, a feller can't go too far wrong. It won't ship until after 25 June, so maybe it might arrive around the 4th of July. (Surely, I am a patient man!) Wish that it had a lock & key me...

Swinguards? What to look for?
I am about to delve into a few swingguards. Please educate me about these knives. Any bits of wisdom are welcome. Do the guards have a tendency to rattle? Should they always position 90° to the handle and blade? After the blade is flipped into position, how is the blade released to be folded? Who ar...

Re: WTB: Display stand
Well, yes I have expanded my search to knife collector's display cabinets.
Does anyone use the CASTLECREEK Collector's Cabinet Display Case? Is it of any good quality?
Do you know anything about these, Chris?

WTB: Display stand
I am searching for a display stand for my 11" knives. Seems that I find only a few dealers who offer a stand: 3Knives, Laguiole, Grindworx, and a couple more. I prefer the looks of the 3Knives stand but am wondering if there are other offerings on the market.

Re: WTB: 11" bayonet blade, black acrylic stiletto
Is the firing button dommed? Could be the picture but it looks different. The firing button is domed. My picture taking is to blame. I have an old Nikon Coolpix from 2003 that I really need to take out of mothballs (or, maybe, go purchase a new one). The skylights and windows in our house limit the...

(I don't take good pictures) The blade finish is very bright and the handle is flawless and shiny.

Re: Knife Shop.com
Well, I have tested the waters at Knife Shop.com by ordering a Frank Beltrame 28cm stiletto, bayonet blade, swivel bolster, tortoise shell handle. (That is, I think that this is a swivel bolster. I cannot tell from the photo.) The cost of the knife is $46.40 USD, but the shipping is $37.20, for a to...

Re: WTB: 11" bayonet blade, black acrylic stiletto
JulesVane, are those brass bolsters or titanium? Seems that brass would have a very short wear-life as a swivel bolster. But maybe the brass is Muntz Metal or some other brass alloy that may be heat treated. (If you decide that this knife needs to be eliminated from your collection, let me know.) Do...
