Re: AKC Speed Hunter
I carried the slimline today. It is a comfortable and useful "carry knife". (It is dangerously sharp too)! Smile, Bill. AKC makes a great product and I feel comfortable carrying this on my person as a last-ditch backup in a tight spot.

That's downright sexy! Can you imagine carrying that as an assasination knife? That's "movie star" material!

Bless you, Dave. Thank you for indulging the rest of our colleagues with this version of the knife. Thanks for letting people see what a real Italian-style with a distinctly American flavor. A true "working" automatic knife. I wish an American company would create a production knife such as this. (I...

Re: What's the deal with Fishtails?
Daddy picked up his Fishtail about 70-73 years ago (between 1935-1938 as near as I can guess). This should tell you something.

Re: What's the deal with Fishtails?
The Fishtails are a Sicilian design. Dad's carbon steel model dated to about 1938. I'm certain that the Fishtail Picklock style was made a bit before then. I'd hazard a guess that they began manufacturing these as early as the late 1920's.
That's just a guess, mind you.

I thought so. That is tempting because of the Clip Point blade. It isn't a "toad stabber" (Bayonet, Kris, or Dagger). Because of this, the blade is quite appealing. Yeah, I'm the "odd man out". (Go ahead, tease me. I'm used to it).JimBrown257 wrote:That is definitely Italian.

That's pretty slick, Dave. Damn, that looks meaner than the proverbial "junkyard dog". The dagger blade could, (and probably would) prove extremely painful!

Re: I put a "bug" into the bonnet of Blade Play & Blade HQ
Depends on what we you mean by "light use". I have an old beat up stiletto switchblade on my desk that I use for opening letters, slicing the tape on delivered boxes, cutting string and cord, cutting the plastic wrapper of stuff, etc. A few days ago I even used it to bend a contact into shape on a ...

These are nice pocket knives the lock-back Fishes are neat knives. I like the configuration, but prefer my auto for convenience (and...
