Justin, instead of taking your knives apart, you could get a couple kits to play with. That way you could make custom handles too. thanks Justin, once you get the hang of it, a knife like that mikov only takes about an hour to do. It's lots of fun and quite rewarding when it comes out like that. It's not perfect, but, it sure is pretty. There were a couple links on the last page with step by step directions. That's a great plac...

You probably will still want to make the initial cuts with a file and then deepen tham with the Dremel :idea:
I do it just the opposite. Small initial cuts with the demel and then fine tune it by hand.
