Is this a notorious issue with Hubertus lever-locks? As I have 2 that are in great condition but just the very tip of the blade peaks on both. If it were to be carried (which I don't), the tip of that blade (especially the point of the Guardian) will bite you every time!

Don't mean to intrude on this thread, but I just saw a new listing on SDs of a 8.5" Frank B that the scales are all in place with tiny screws instead of pins. I only mention this as I had never seen or heard of this before. Odd to me but surely I'm far from an expert.

That's nice! It was my first auto in my early teens (lighter colored scales). Bought it in the bathroom of a roller-skating rink for $10. Was so glad to have it! Now, I know it's only poorly made, but the sentimental value (to me) means something. I'd be glad to get one again.

That's a great question/topic. I have a 9" Frank B- Bayo blade, abalone scales and filework. Some places I've looked had this exact same knife listed as "limited edition" and even laser etched as such (like 1 out of 40,60,80 made). But, mine only says Frank B. Not sure what the "limited edition" rea...
