Theres a lot of reasons the BB is highly revered amongst all collectors , Italian and American. No, it has never been fully authenticated as far as I know. Nor has it been debunked. If they were produced during the war, there is no reason to think they were not issued- as the known M-2s were the same as civilian production knives.
