Re: Open Mouth Fish

Very nice group, and as you mentioned, they are the "open mouth" models. I see the group includes a PLP and a real Latama - not very common in open mouth fish versions at all! "Scamdoval"   Thanks for sharing these examples from your impressive collection.

That is a classic old German leverlock and should be a welcome addition to your collection - great find!

That's a great point Tom. Here we have a company that many of us trusted for years severely damaging their credibility for some short-term profits.

Re: New Frank B picklock

For $310 you can buy a vintage knife that is guaranteed to have been made in Italy... just my 2¢

Excellent point

Re: Roofing Tales Of Madness...

I too have used mouse pursuit to entertain myself. For reasons inconceivable to me, my otherwise logical wife is terrorized when one or more mouse finds its way into our house. When that happens, I go on safari, a mouse safari using traditional mousetraps. Typically, the mouse / mice win round one. ...

My criteria would be someone who has experience successfully working on antique picklocks like yours. You have a fine example and it would be a shame to have it damaged in the name of a r...

Re: HUBERTUS Rainbow Scales

Look at the rear handle. There are cracks forming. This is the start of the outgassing.
The bolster tarnish, extreme tarnish on the brass pins and the rusty lever pin are also indicators.
