Mikov Kits

I have bought two mikov auto knife kits and I was wandering if anyone out there has finished these. This is a first for me. The blades are beautiful. I have purchased in the past many types of exotic scales off of ebay. Do you cut the pins after you have the scales down to where you want them. Infor...

PushButton I'm glad you saw what I saw! I just played it back in slow motion and I see it coming out the front. One of a kind Huh! Is there a knife made similar to that one? Sure is nice. A friend of mine, who lived in mexico as a kid said they had stilettos like my 11 & 13"s that came OTF. Anything...

Hi Teddy,
The title is EYE OF THE NEEDLE and it was made in 1981. Sutherland plays
a German agent in England and has to get film back to germany. (WWII)
I think the film was made in the UK. Check it out. What a knife! It looks just
like a 13" horn I have but OTF.

What kind of blade did I see?

I was watching one of my favorite movies last night, which I've seen a dozen times. Donald Sutherland stabs about 3 or 4 people in this flick ( Eye of the needle ) but I never paid much attention to what kind of blade he used. It looks like a 11 to 13" horn switchblade with a button but it is a OTF....

Vagrant, I frequent several auctions and mainly bid on knives, sometimes I'm lucky enough to win them. I have often wondered if there was anyone out there that would bid only to get the item up for maybe a person that they know. I am sorry to see that you have done this type of bidding. If its compe...

Hi JerrBear,
My kids don't even pickup on the wording I use as long as they know I've meant well. The truth is I didn't know how to spell EXCELLENT. I feel so much better now. Thank you JerrBear

Received my blades from ZipGuy, only took 4 or 5 days, thats decent! One 11" horn, one 11" black and one 8" lever lock. I think thats what you call it, but its neat and fast. I will gladly buy from him again. I've only been collecting non-auto stilettos and now I've bought 10 of these things in the ...

Why am I so lucky J-Man?
I live in Wisconsin and my furnace went and took a S _ _ _ ! today. The only
thing to keep me warm until morning are my blades and I'm still freezing.
Now, Why am I lucky?

Thanks for the tips! I'll head for the house of harley tomorrow. My biggest task is on some of the older stag handles that I have. I've taken a industrial degreaser and delutted it with water and clean them with a small bristle brush. The stag comes out looking like new. Now is O.K. to put that same...

Polishing a blade

I've read quite a few posts where it is recommended to use simichrome for polishing the blade. Where can you find this polish and if you are polishing a blade with any kind of etching on it, will it have any effect on it.
Thanks

I've bought a lot of knives from STU-711 over the past year and never had a problem. Great guy to deal with. Two years ago, when I first started buying knives I won an auction with Tizzybea for 24 inexpensive knives. When I got them there were only 18 knives in the box and her reply was I couldn't c...

They were or are made by Angelo at AKC, I talked to him ater I bought my first one, two years ago. I have the 13s and 15s, stag in clip and kriss.
They all have very thick stag. I thought he told me that they quit making them after that O.J. thing, not sure
