JayAK80, that's gotta be some of the most vibrant abalone I've ever seen!
Beautiful knives, everyone! Was thinking about getting a Piccolo in Rick's name, but I'm more of a stiletto guy... Maybe I'll pick up a normal one if I find one at a show or something...

Mikov Re-Scale by JTK
The story of this knife actually begins in July 2018, when I seriously underestimated the distance from my hometown in Western MA to Portland, ME. The NCCA was putting on a show in Portland for the first (and in hindsight probably the last) time, and by golly I wanted to hit it up for the inaugural ...

Re: Repair Markings
There's some knives I've got that I've chosen not to get work done because of the possibility/risk that they may be marked if they need to be taken apart - namely the Kriss Latama that's immaculate in every way other than a slight peek.

Re: Brand new A.G.A Campolin ring pull with poor fitting?!
Perhaps they call it 3knives because you've gotta buy 3 of something to get a good example? Jokes aside, I'm so sorry this has happened... Angelo is a stand-up guy though and my gut feeling is that he will make things right. If it helps any, supposedly his wife and a family friend handle the 3...

Re: 10” swinguard
I suppose the 10'' picklocks could open up the possibility of 10'' swingers... the 10'' picks flew off the shelves like crazy and I'm sure I'm just one of dozens of people in like waiting for more to be made... if this size is so popular for picklocks, I'm sure some swingers in the same size would s...

Re: First picklock & I am disappointed
This is why I usually only buy vintage knives if I can handle them first unless it's someone who I already know who is selling them to me... this could be a rare stamp so it might just be better to get the peek fixed and rescale the knife rather than shit-canning the blade entirely.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Democrats is that we hate weapons... Radical 48-gendered liberals aren't the majority, just perhaps the loudest...john wrote:I do like knives and guns.

The tax cut is only temporary for folks like me. Then my taxes go up and my kids will be paying more in taxes until the Democrats are able to reverse the tax increase. Are you member of the 1% cub? Only they will truly benefit for the new tax structure. Like they really need it. They can use a seco...

Re: nothing here
He was basically asking about if there are any repair shops that totally guarantee their work, the answer is not really but some are better than others, and you've gotta choose one based on the fixer's resume and previous works others can attest to. The only way to know for 100% positive you will ha...

Re: Online repair shops
There are none as far as I know for the types of knives typically shared/discussed here. It's a gamble but my understanding is that the better "fixers" tend to make it right for you if they screw up. As far as warranty-like guarantees go your best bet is buying from the source rather than re-sellers...

If a cli-click noise is the biggest problem with this knife I'd call this a massive success lol

Walt Halucha can fix peeking by laser-welding the sear holes to add material to the sear-side. Bill probably could too. Assuming a sear-hole that's too-close to the left side of the blade is the problempicklocksrock wrote:I have one but the blade peeks and it has a fairly weak kick.
