Re: old stilleto and who can add a spring to it

To me it doesn't look like the tip goes to the end of the well (rear of the back bolster). That would mean, as it was sharpened and metal lost, the tip was also shortened. I could be wrong as I can't actually see the end of the blade in relation to the back bolster.

Re: old stilleto and who can add a spring to it

The 11"ers are not very common. However in that picture it looks like the blade is way down. I sold an 11" bo/bc about a year ago in like new condition. It went for around $250-300. I can't say exactly because a trade also was involved. Bill does great work and is also very reasonable.

Re: what is the best

I would look at ProTech, MIcrotech, and Benchmade. All make quality knives. My first choice would be the first company listed.

Re: Who Restores and Puts 5 Hash Marks Inside?

I have quite a few knives with the DeShiv's three dots but I don't think I've seen five.

Re: Anyone Familiar with Protech’s Large Don or Monaco?

I don't have the large Don. I and my wife each have the smaller size however. But I do have a Monaco. Although you don't hear much about this knife, I really like it. It is smallish but has a very comfortable profile and a vicious snap on opening. If you own a Protech you know the quality and sharpn...

It may not be a Coricama but it is a desirable knife.

Re: Due Buoi Classic 9 Stiletto

I bought one of these at Blade when they were first introduced. It was an adventure to say the least. They probably had about 30 laid out to play with. Almost all had bolsters that would stick and not return to rest. After trying several, I chose one that I thought was good. It was not. It had a hai...
