Re: Honey Horn vs. French Tip?
I just picked up my first example of the new design of standard stiletto with the oval hole, which I admit is growing on me, if only a little. Figured I'd share it as I believe the scales are relevant here, although 3knives called it "French Bovine Horn" - I <think> its criteria fits with French Ti...

I hope you're right - perhaps the logic is that if they wait long enough, the demand will be so high that slow-moving picklocks batswingers etc will get snapped up faster than normal (no pun intended)

Re: Heads up swingguard collectors
I think the real reason people are cryptic about how much they spend on knives is in case it gets back to their wives.

No non-custom modern knife is worth more than 250-300 in my opinion.

Re: AKC - Need information
Thanks for the information. Any idea of the age and value? Can these be Early AKC knives? The tang stamp is not the same as there current tang stamp. I might compare them to the current going value of the Calatana - AKC stamps are murky at best and have been terminally polluted by Asian cloners to ...

Re: Heads up swingguard collectors
Ivano, while I do not quite agree with Walt's prices, I cannot imagine that anyone could rightfully blame you or Frank, and it doesn't seem like anybody has. You do your jobs as makers and export them and that is that. Walt is the retailer and handles things as he sees fit, even if some people disag...
