Re: A joke ???????

Great looking stream. Is that behind your house? I live on Long Island, NY. I try and go fresh water fishing 30 or more times a year. There are a fair amount of lakes and ponds here and they stock three near by with about 2,000 trout each lake. Lot of panfish, bass and pickeral also....what lure do ...

Re: schrade

I know Taylor and SMKW have a interwinned relationship, but not sure of all the facts. There both in Tenn, and Frost is involved also. When Cammillus went out of business last year, these were the guys running to grab the left overs and name rights. I got a few dozen of the Cammillus Heats ( the big...

Re: schrade

Smokey Mountain Knife Works bought the Schrade name out and is using it now on many new low end import knives. These look to be the same quailty as the Twain Bokers ( which is reasonably good as a user), but they are not top dollar collectables for sure, or USA type high quailty, high tech knives....

This site I held off on a bit as being a former NY LEO I will tell you are "list" kept on membership to certain things. After reading quotes on this site on a daily basis, it se...

Re: 9'' German Stilettos...

Jim the law passed in the 70s, but they were produced after that as there was a demand for them. The quailty of Italian knives was at a all time low from the mid 80 to late 90s as the market place over seas was drying up due to new laws, and the customers here were subject to Customs issues. The Fra...

Re: 1988 5th Anniversary EdgeCo Catalog

Jerrbear, The Twain models you are referring to came in the late 80s that I saw. A company out of NJ called Double 8 ( Now MAster Cutlery), imported both the twain and Korea models. The Twain had thin lettering saying 440 stiletto and Twain on them and the hole went all the way through the blade ( o...

Re: Super Automatics

I was not a member when this posted, but I will add some info now on the NATO/Super Automatics/swing guards clones. Bell Metal in Korea produced the NATO and Super Auto ( written in script) from the mid 1960s till the mid to late 1990s. These were the higher quality of the cheap front openers. I kno...
