Re: 2nd filework attempt

You can see that I still need to work on the flow of the vine some, but the basic shape is there... I was hoping to arouse this type of response in order find out who else was trying to scatch the same itch! Looks good to me and I see no reason not to move forward. The only piece of advice I could ...

Re: Responsabilities- Manufacturer / distributor / dealer

Maybe the folks over in Maniago need to check out talkblade for some tips on how to build knives...I'm just sayin' Italians have a reputation for making some nice things. I can think of several brands of italian cars and shoes that I'd buy in a heartbeat, but the quality of their knives IS la...

Re: Obama Wants You Hatemongers Silenced

Ya' know, it's sad, but I would almost say that most liberals have no earthly idea of how the free market system works. Saddest thing is that some of them DO know how it works, but they cannot compete and they don't like it. They've got PBS and NPR who's ratings are negligable at best. They actually...

Funny how some animals seem to know where these places are where they can't be harmed. Around here, I see turkeys walking right down the middle of the road...That is, until turkey SEASON comes around!

Re: Responsabilities- Manufacturer / distributor / dealer

Ok guys, small business owner here. It has nothing to do with knives at all, but after reading this, I felt I should say something. In this argument, I'd consider myself the manufacturer. In my case, I offer a service. If I don't do an outstanding job, I don't do any business...PERIOD! If I have ite...

Re: Some of your "other" hobbies?

I may be buying a Honda XR650L,can't wait. Of course I like Harley's too I used to own an XR650l. Great bike. I have an '05 DRZ 400s with only 700 miles in great condition. Send me a PM if interested. Personally, I found the 650L to be a bit of a pig riding trails. I've had lots of dualsport bikes ...

Don't know anything at all about the fella you asked about, but your knives are awesome! Welcome aboard. I look forward to pickin' your brain too...

BTW, 8 of your knives sounds like quite a chunck of change to me. I think you have every reason in the world to be suspicious!

Re: Responsabilities- Manufacturer / distributor / dealer

I buy something I'd fully expect to work a certain way and if it did not, I'd return it. Doesn't matter if I'm a dealer or end user. If the Italians have a reputation for making crap, then why are we so intrigued by their crap?

Re: 2nd filework attempt

You can't learn file work overnight, it takes time. Finish the knife and cherish it, after all you made it yourself with your own two hands. Be proud of it. One thing I have leared so far is this is NOT easy and there is a good reason people charge the money they do for this kind of work. I've neve...
