Re: UNUSUAL FINDS at the flea -- Group A

Certainly, 8" knives were common in the 80s and 90s. Interesting - I have not seen a tremendous amount of 8'' moderns from that time period, at least compared to the amount of 9'' and 11'' stuff of that era on the market. Of course, what's for sale doesn't dictate what exists, but at the very least...

Re: UNUSUAL FINDS at the flea -- Group A

My assumption is that during the 80s and 90s when a lot of German market stilettos were made, not a ton of 8'' stilettos were being made to begin with, if you think about it most modern stuff to this day is 9 and 11 inches. Of course there are outliers and gimmicks that are larger and also miniscule...

Re: Civil War era (?) PICKLOCK from ITALY

if it is it looks like it's been restored... 160 years would probably age wood handles more than that.

awesome looking knife. I've never heard of that company.

Re: Little Mauro Mario from pawn shop

Well dang, I'm feeling better and better about this all the time. Does anybody know if this is an uncommon or rare stamp for a Mario? As for my secret... #1...play up every flaw in the knife no matter how small. #2...act like you're not that interested because this "brand" of knife is common as dir...

Re: Little Mauro Mario from pawn shop

Jesus christ you got them to go from 350 to 180? Teach me your secrets, master!

I've never seen this iteration of a Mario stamp (not that I'm well-versed in them) - lovely dark scales!

I'm jealous where I sit! That is a sweet little knife, hold it dear and don't part with it!

Re: 11 in Knife Italy BV&F IONX

Greetings - neat old Beltrame stamp I happen to collect

Value is almost 100% contingent on the state of the blade. Whether it's been sharpened and so on. Also these knives were produced as manuals and autos - knowing which it is will also factor in.
