Hammer/Imperial-same thing. You do not have to take it apart to replace the spring! Some of these did not use a rivet to hold the spring in place. Instead, a piece of the liner was punched out and bent down to hold the spring. You have to figure out a way to bend it up to remove the old spring. You ...

Only the blade is stainless. Glad you like it. Try the WD 40 flush. Work the blade to make sure you get all the crud out. Dry it, then lubricate with a good oil.

It can be annealed, but don't! It will bend. Peening involves many light taps with a very small hammer. You need the resilience of the rod to support the head of the rivet.

I'm not sure. These were made from the same parts as the spring loaded OTFs. The spring knives were produced from the mid 1950s until after Bonsa shut down in 1982. Bonsa's assets were sold to Robert Klaas. Perhaps these were made from left over parts, or were a separate product. I never saw any of ...
