Re: Latama Camper From E-Bay Restored
I'm not a big fan of blue and gold, despite them being my high school colors, but that Coricama is beautiful and that's more the way I would do things. Thanks for the reply, and I see that we mutually understand and respect each others positions. I'm not really taking on the "entire knife world" as ...

Another sweet rescale by Rick Giroux
Android is being difficult, so this may not work, but here's another opportunity to get one of Rick's sweet rescales.

Re: Latama Camper From E-Bay Restored
Really nice material in the scales, but can't say I would agree with leaving the pitting on secondary blades and furniture. I would call this minimally restored, not completely restored. When you say completely, I shouldn't see flaws before the knife is even opened. Excuse me, you said totally, not...

Re: Acryliwood rescaled 13" AB's by Rick Giroux
I have never heard of him before, but I must say, damn good job on the handles, they are beautiful. He doesn't follow the forums but I made him aware. You see him selling on SD auction, usually he sells Frank B. If you search this forum you will see at least one rescale, but he didn't make those scale...

ok it has been pointed out that I have been badly misunderstood. when I wrote that (above) I was being extremely sarcastic and totally facetious. I didn't think there was the SLIGHTEST possibility that someone would think I was being sincere. i apologize for causing any confusion. I AM NOT THE NUTC...

Re: 9" Omerta Switchblade Knife Kit assembly help.
So you know my name, may I ask what yours is? You are also incorrect on a few things. The current Nemos real name is not Chad Rubens. I do not go by Nemo, Nemo Knives,River Turtle or even Twitchy. I am always flabbergasted every time someone tells me they know more about me than I do,and hey, thanks ...

I have one more block of burl (not Acryliwood) that I have been saving for the right project ... oh and a block each of black, wine, violet and magenta box elder burl Acrliwood that match the ones I sent to KB.

Re: Acryliwood rescaled 13" AB's by Rick Giroux
Dave, Those look awesome. The bottom bolsterless handle looks great. Before these two, I haven't seen that on any modern autos other than those 9" FBs. Are those meant to match your KB's with no bottom bolster? I've dealt with Rick before but I hadn't realized he did work on knives. It just occurre...

Acryliwood rescaled 13" AB's by Rick Giroux
I had a blackhorn swedge and bayonet AB which both had warped so badly they were no longer locking up. I sent them to Rick Giroux along with a block of turquoise curly polar Acryliwood, and this is what he made of them. http://www.theredonegot.com/images/stories/blades/img_1937.jpg http://www.thered...
