Re: Staining horn handles.
What's best Bill?
Wax or shoe polish, the horn is very light brown and dry looking. It's as if the brown is wearing as I've handled it to work on ,most horn I have is wet looking possibly through handling.
Sorry about picture but this is the colour and look, from old knife I made.

Is there a way to enhance dull horn, without removing the handles first? I have a hubertus but I'm a little disappointed in the horn just wanted it slightly dar...

Anton wingen switch
Anyone know any information on Wingen regarding switchblades, love to know the age of this one marked with A.Wingen jr, solingen Germany, and othello on the rear plus man's head. It's had a working life, but fires up nice tiny bit of play in the blade, but I'm leaving as is. The liners are silver col...

It has many shapes and most are deadly, ubo zukuri being one,i know what you mean about the shape on some especially the obtuse angle ,commonly used on short knives nowadays, the Japa...

Re: Hubertus shell puller
Bill, I'm new to talkblade, how do you get those lines in the bolsters so sharp? I had a go at mine whilst assembled and it needs an expert... However I run a risk with posting, won't say too much, less it would be on its way to you now. Respect your work, I'd love that shellpuller as is, wouldn't cha...
