Re: New Missouri Switchblade Law

As a followup, the MO legislature passed the bill which amends the gun and knife law to exclude switchblades from the banned weapons list in Missouri. Here is what I received from KnifeRights: May 19, 2012: At the request of Knife Rights, the Missouri legislature has passed SB489, repealing the ban ...

Re: Let's make a leverletto

One question on these, is there any reason that the scale has to be fully cut through over the spring? Does the spring rise so for up when operated that it would not work if the scale wasn't cut through? NO & NO... I have several with the spring fully enclosed... Thanks JerrBear! So more a matter o...

Re: Addiction - - - How Many In Your Collection :-)

On knives, once I crossed 100, I lost track so somewhere around eleventy-seven gazillion! About 30 years ago I quit drinking alcohol and turned to massive amounts of coffee instead. So I made it a hobby. Now I homeroast my own coffee and usually have 60-70 lbs of green coffee beans from different re...

Re: New Missouri Switchblade Law

Follow up: I attended a meeting on Grassroots Campaigning at the NRA Annual Meeting here in St. Louis this morning. Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder spoke at the meeting as well several Missouri State Legislators. I pulled a state senator aside to ask him what could be done about the loss of the e...

Re: Shop in Maniago?

Hello! Confirmed... if any of you come to Maniago, just drop me an e-mail and I'll show you some of the shops! For free of course... if you take me with you to a lunch/dinner, even better. :-) Cheers, M. Michele, we took you to dinner while my wife and I were in Maniago and, if you ever happen to f...

Re: The book 'Switchblades of Italy'

Switchblades were not banned in the US by the Switchblade Act of 1958. Importation and involvement of switchblades in Interstate Commerce were banned. Laws involving manufacture and ownership of switchblades were left to the discretion of the individual states. Currently about half the states allow ...

Knife Rights Huge Drawing

In case you haven't seen it, Knife Rights is having a huge drawing for numerous knives and guns in exchange for donations to the cause. While I do not believe it includes any spring steel, the collection of production knives & guns and custom made knives in incredible. Donations starting at $20 will...

May I add that Vittorio Centa makes each knife himself by order. He also does his own heat tempering. My wife loved him as he put his arm around her while picking on me and anyone who refers to Obama as "the Socialist" has my utmost respect :!: 8) http://i831.photobucket.com/albums/zz233/javacupper/...

Re: Shop in Maniago?

My wife and I had a great time with Arthas when we were in Maniago, very nice guy! We really enjoyed the visit. In Venice, I also walked into a knife shop. I mentioned that I collected stilettos and the fellow offered to bring out a hidden stash of autos but I wasn't interested at the time.

Re: Blue Burl Leverletto Plus

Yes, this is the longer version of the leverletto. I can't remember the type of burl but, yes, it is dyed blue. The next knife that I put together for myself will be a Mikov with the ironwood burl scales shown below.

Blue Burl Leverletto Plus

I posted this on ShaperDeals but had a minor heart attack and didn't get around to showing it here. I'm doing fine with the addition of a stent to open a blocked artery. I had a leverletto plus kit and a nice set of blue burl scales that I picked up at the Blade Show last year sitting here. I decide...
