Re: Latama 11inch pick lock 1950s

I never bother with @$$book or any of the other "social media" outlets (They're mostly "Leftist" and full of rat feces).

I haven't any time for their Socialist rants. They can stick their Starbucks Mugs up their rectal orifice and kick off the handle. :P

Re: Looking at the Kershaw Launch 17.

I also dress similarly whether working or not, except I'm jeans and tee shirts/sweatshirt. I like to have something on my person that will cut at all times other than when I'm in my pj's. I knew a woman who worked in her pajamas... Then again, she was arrested several times for engaging in "the wor...

Re: Looking at the Kershaw Launch 17.

Twobit, I just posted an "I ordered the Kershaw Launch 17" thread a few minutes ago. I am having them ship by FedEx tomorrow so that it will arrive on Saturday morning to avoid any "porch pirate" problems. I want this to be a "working" knife that is amenable to daily carry. (I work in a sports jacke...

I ordered the Kershaw Launch 17 this morning.

I asked GP Knives to delay shipping by Fed Ex until Thursday, February 17th so that it will arrive on Saturday morning. (This should frustrate any "porch pirates" that may prey on the neighborhood).

I'll let everyone know if, and how, the Launch 17 "passes muster" upon its arrival. 8)

Re: Looking at the Kershaw Launch 17.

Twobit,
I went to GP Knives this morning and ordered a Kershaw Launch 17 (I simply couldn't resist the urge). :) This should prove a light carry/companion knife to my Case Peanut in 1095 Chromium/Vanadium steel.

I know, I know. But, all told, it IS a useful knife! ;) :) :P!

Re: Who Makes the Fishtails ?

Oreste DiBon made/assemble fish knives. I’ve been wrong before but I believe the fish knives stamped Stiletto Italy may have been from the Beltrame family of knife makers (Frank, Armando and/or Renzo). Someone here will no have the correct answer to your question. I have some samples of the Oreste ...

Definition of Shrift.
Confession, especially to a priest.

Short shrift:
It is an attitude of, "It's nice to meet you. We'll accept your business card and get in touch with you if we're interested." (Rapid, and unsympathetic, dismissal).

Here's your hat, what's your hurry?

Re: Looking at the Kershaw Launch 17.

I DO like the Kershaw Launch 18! The S35VN steel of the 17 would prove to be a better (read: more useful) blade.

You have a good eye, Twobit!

Looking at the Kershaw Launch 17.

I really like the Clip Point blade! The 3.5" blade is enough to accomplish the task(s). I like the thin blade profile.

Any comments? Opinions? :?:

Re: I just bought a Benchmade Claymore OTF.

I need to speak with Kershaw about their Security arrangements.

Edit: I called them and received "short shrift" from Kershaw. :x

They are fun.

Re: Who Makes the Fishtails ?

I believe that they were originally from Sam Polk at LATAMA. As of late, they have come from AGA Campolin in Maniago, Italy. (Perhaps Bill DeShivs could weigh in on this).

Re: I just bought a Benchmade Claymore OTF.

Ian, Our offices are 7 miles from the Benchmade plant. I was there this morning pitching our Call Response services for the company. I appreciate thier product, but they pushed for Gun Control so that the Oregon Legislature wouldn't bother the Automatic Knife industry. Most of us are still very angr...

Re: I just bought a Benchmade Claymore OTF.

Gravknife,

These OTF daggers are CPM-D2 Tool Steel, hardened to 62 Rockwell Hardness. Contrary to popular belief, they are real "workhorse" knives that can cut, slash, and stab too.

I'm glad to see you are still alive, brother!

Re: I just bought a Benchmade Claymore OTF.

Sammy, I have been "off the grid" for a while. There's no Internet service at home, so I have to do this from work. I am working for the "premiere" Armed Security Service for the Portland, OR metropolitan area. (We train our officers for 400 hours instead of 40 hours before they "hit the streets"). ...
