Re: Rostfrei import swedge blade
Can't say for sure from the photos that you posted but with the short safety slot it could be a D stamp liner. With the blade open look inside the blade well and see if you can see a D shaped cut out in the button side liner. You may have to push the kicker spring down a little bit to see it if it's...

Very nicely done Ron. Not too over-the-top but enough to make it stand out.

Glad you didn't get hit too hard. Looks like the folks to the south of you in NYC and DC got the brunt of it this time.

Re: Italian Quality
This is a really subjective question. What's good for one person may not be good for another. Heeding Viking45's statement "All the companies you listed make the knives by hand and with a high demand sometimes a few knives are less than acceptable and must be returned.(this goes for any brand handma...

"Jim Brown" (screen name) has done several pieces for me and has done a remarkable job on all of them. Here are a few that I have photos of. Re: New member
Be very careful about approaching the collection of knives. It can turn around and bite you if you're not careful. :D I started just under two years ago with a 9" Frank Beltrame swivel bolster and wasn't paying attention to it and it grew somewhat. The growth has slowed down somewhat but the bug is ...

fischzilla: Welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy the ride. There are a some really knowledgeable folks here that should be able to provide information on your knife. Having the photos makes things a lot easier. My best guess (and I'm a relative newcomer to the sport so my opinion should be taken prop...

Re: New member
Welcome to the insanity.
I've dealt with the KnifeShop referred to by JerrBear and have had good responses from them so I'll add my recommendation that you give them a try. Their pricing seems to be pretty much in line with the market in general.

TR4252: I hope I didn't give the wrong impression with the heart shaped pin and lock tab in the later photo. That one isn't mine (although I would be pleased if it were). I don't remember who the creator was but it's one of those truly rare examples of someone's skills and craftsmanship. The Renzo h...

Viking 45: Photos of the collection are at: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/donc/library/Trays?sort=9&page=1 There are 11 display trays measuring about 24X13 inches. They aren't arranged in any specific order other than size with Tray 1 holding the non-stilettos and starting off with the minis. The ...

John: So sorry to hear about your misadventure. I'm sure it will be a long time before those miscreants pick on you again after the thrashing you gave them. Take it easy and give your body a chance to mend. Nothing much you can do for ribs but roll with the discomfort until they heal naturally. You ...

Re: Renzo Pascotto 33cm Flat Guard Wasp
Thanks for the comments. They're one of my favorite segments of my collection.
John:
Waiting to see your photos. I know the pieces you've acquired are easily as striking as mine if not more so.
