Re: Red REM 10.5''

Did you meant the regular IMOP? This one has regular white IMOP: https://www.talkblade.info/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28855 Those red one have the same swirled material as the IMOP, just with red. I don't know if red IMOP is the right word for them but it is what I've been calling them. The red 10.5" ones...

Was there a pic of a white NATO OTF with a scorpion on it?

Someone was asking me about a knife like this and I vaguely recall seeing one like it. Was something like that posted here in the last month or so?

Re: Smaller Rizzi

The size isn't too rare but that one having IMOP scales is pretty rare. I have only seen a few 7"s with IMOP.

Jim I haven't seen these in IMOP ? Any pictures ?
Yeah, here are two of the 8.5" ones. The one on the bottom is the red IMOP and the top on is the maroonish one. The top one has the REM stamp but I think it is a replaced blade.

Re: Blade grinds individual to stamps ?

I know what you are talking about but I don't think it was an intentional thing. Those little variations were just how the person doing those particular blades happened to do them (how he held them or what tools he used or whatever factors could affect it). Then the ones with the straighter lines ju...

Re: Red REM 10.5''

It's really hard to see in pics but if you look for the faint impression of a line and hole here, that is how you can identify original scales on this model. And the rare color ones (anything other than black, white or IMOP) almost never have the REM stamp. In fact, so few of the ones I've seen had ...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

That is interesting. I've never seen the FES Rost stamp on a normal bayonet Japanese one. I have seen it on some of the flatgring Koreans, like the Ice-Scrapper and the super cheap plastic safety cap one, and one 7" step-bolster with a flatgrind blade. I think most Japanese knives makers went with t...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

Yeah, I have one of those 8" fake jigged bone ones. Mine has a Rostfrei stamp (which I have only seen on the unusual Rizzuto models). Another collector here had a 9" and an 11" of those ones, one of which had the Penguin stamp. The fake jigged is one of those notably higher quality ones with the fla...

Re: Mini Rizzutos

Gunner! How's it going? Nice to see you around again.

I have some of those 6" Rizzutos. The step-bolster Batwing seems to be the most rare of the 6"s. Based on what I have seen, the 6" is the second most rare size. The 8" is the most rare. 8.5" is the most common.

Re: Movie Switchblades

The knife Bender has is the 9" smooth handle Korean Bell. They were made at that time and sold in every Tijuana trinket store. It's the same knife as in Stand By Me and Three O'Clock High (that movie had the 10" version like the pic from Dark Angel at the top of this page). The original lockbacks (J...

Re: Is there such thing as

I have never seen a real pre-50s Italian flatguard with a ROMO stamp. With a few exceptions like Latama, it doesn't seem like the common pl stamps showed up until the stamped bolster pls. I think I have seen a Derby bo/c with a ROMO stamp. Some people refer to those as flatguards as the guards are t...

And if he is in Turkey than it is not that scammer who comes around every few years. It think that guy is in Oklahoma.

Re: Ali Yanik

Any chance this Yanik guy is another alias of that guy who shows up every few years to rip people off (RH, MrMojo, HomerSimpson, etc)?
