Re: Guns and Renaissance wax
ANY steel that has got RED hot has suffered damage to the temper  How serious this is varies a LOT :!: But is NEVER helpful  After it almost caught on fire...it was never the same. accuracy was off (Not that it mattered spraying a 75 round drum) and the receiver would pop off the rails ...

Re: Guns and Renaissance wax
No need. People have been waxing guns for decades. Sorry you haven't heard about it. Oil, grease, wax, or anything else will burn off of red hot metal-it won't bake on. I don't shoot much anymore, but there was a time that I shot almost daily. I also repaired and customized guns, had an FFL for abo...

Re: Guns and Renaissance wax
...Sunlight doesn't make the metal sizzle and glow red... I heard that when the barrel gets that hot, best stop and take a leak to cool it down. Or...REWAX the barrel :o :o :o I've had the front handguard smoking before...Now what I do with these AK's are extreme..though a lot of people w...

Re: Guns and Renaissance wax
Does car wax discolor your paint in hot sunlight? Sunlight doesn't make the metal sizzle and glow red. I ...USE.. my guns and I just can't see putting a wax on the blueing. Now, don't get me wrong, if you have closet queen guns, I think it would be worth looking into, But....REALLY...WAX on blueing...

Re: Guns and Renaissance wax
Just a curious question about wax on the blueing.
Are you guys NOT firing these guns and only want to preserve the finish?
When I go shooting, my metal is SMOKIN'
.

.
and I would think any kind of wax would just burn and discolor the blue?

Re: Italian Frank Beltrame's CRAZY COOL
Modern picklocks are simply variants of the so-called "Classic". 1. Top front bolster does not swivel 2. Top front bolster is squared off; no slant. 3. Top front bolster ears are completely covered by the liner. No big thing as the same die used to cut the back liner works for these as well. 4. Fro...

Yep, but then we would miss the begging, pleading. and sob stories to buy her stuff. :P The only thing she has brought to this forum is a whole hearted attempt to cram her overpriced trinkets down our throats. No matter what anyone says, she just keeps getting more aggressive. Sorry, I have never p...
