Re: Imitation Horn

Just got home and took a look at today's paper. The wild women of Mayberry had a few entries: one assault, one obtaining property by false pretenses, one DUI. I'm sure their activity will increase as the weather warms. The bigger headline was "Barn Fire" A tobacco barn caught fire and one lane of a ...

Re: ELIO ring pull with rare hunter style blade and ELIO brochure

Over the years I have been so spoiled by some of the photos I have seen that I must admit to having become somewhat callous to photos of rare knives. However, that one blew me away, plus the ephemera..

Re: Best quality Italian switchblade

I agree with the previous posts completely. It depends on what you mean by "Italian" There is the purist definition meaning made in Italy, then there is there is the Italian styled switchblade. If you are looking for the best of the best then as described, custom is the way to go.

Re: Bonsa leverlock on the bay...

Lance,

Actually the soccer ball stamped examples that I have seen have had the trapezoid lever which is usually associated with newer models. This is getting as confusing as picklock genealogy...well not really.

Re: Bonsa leverlock on the bay...

What is interesting to me is that the clip point blade knife appears to have the "soccer ball being kicked" (my term not anything official) stamp on the back of the tang. It also has the lever with just the circular cutout. The Bonsas I have seen as well as the ones I have with the soccer ball being...

Re: PVK knife & tool

I don't know how you are getting there but if flying, there is risk in getting the switchblade home. Obviously you wouldn't carry it on, and there were stories on the forums of switchblades getting stolen from checked luggage. If TSA finds a switchblade they can simply steal it. What is your recours...

Re: Imitation Horn

Drunk women in Mayberry: today's paper had 7 police entries. 6 were women charged with driving while intoxicated! I have never seen anything like this, and it did not include News Years Eve. I can only imagine what the upcoming reports will be.

Re: Due Buoi forged stiletto

thom,

My understanding is that there were some runs made and each run may have contained knives with different scales. It wasn't as if all knives in each run had the same scales. So, it is hard for me to answer your question.

Re: A few old Talkblade forum knives

Yes, there were additional forum knives. There was the "Godfather for stiletto collectors" which was a Protech Godfather with the mirror polished blade and horn handles. Natcherly and I worked on it with Protech and thanks to Natcherly I have the prototype. There were some others after that which I ...

A few old Talkblade forum knives

Here are a few old Talkblade forum knives. The top one is out first Talkblade forum knife which occurred not too long after Talkblade replaced the old SKM forum. It is, of course, in honor of the Imitation Horn Thread which saw a lot of activity once Jerrbear started it. The middle one is a horn sca...

Tom, well the Police report in the latest paper had the usual small stuff so things may be back to normal.
