Re: Lansky Sharpener kevlar knife info

My Ebay lansky knife came yesterday, brand new in the factory container. Paid $1.95 for it, nearly 3x that to ship. Under $7 total.
A neat idea, and my old one is still in like new condition.
But it keeps punching holes in my pocket....

Re: Lansky Sharpener kevlar knife info

Thank you for the information. Found a Lansky's "Knife" on ebay, just bought it for $6.50 shipping included. Comes with factory box.

The Cold Steel stuff looks interesting, too.

Anybody ever fly with one of these?

I have a knife made of kevlar or some similar composite, made by Lansky Sharpener. It is black, double edged and shaped like a bootknife with a lanyard hole in the handle end. It is ahaped on one side and flat on the other, with a very sharp cutting edge. I seem to remember that they were sold as "C...

Re: Gerber Paraframe I any good?

I got the large one several years ago, dno't know if they make the size anymore, LOA about 8.5". I got it home before I realized it was made in China. Not assisted opening. Mine was very difficult to open single handed, stiff and very tight. Cleaned the joint with dental floss, lubed it with hi-timp...

Too many to post, or even want to remember.
My order of personal great moments in stupidity changes frequently, usually reviewed in depth about 3 AM.

Re: England bans Katana's, and Sabre's.

Did you all have a rash of katana murders or drive by sabre slashings?
Or was this just someone's idea of a way to benefit the lower classes?

I'm sure whoever came up with this one has his share of armed guards, who your taxes are
paying.

Good luck - you seem to need it.

If it's not a Glock, they are totally lost....
Lawrence, like in Kansas?
Like in Deadwood, Wild Bill, Navy Colts, all that stuff?
They had a black powder revolver and had to call the BOMB SQUAD?

This is a wierd world.

Paul Chen also makes Bowie knives and other fixed blade knives, and sells some knid of oil for sword and knife blades. Just told you all I know.... But Wait!..... There is another thread on Mr. Chen's swords about 3/4 of the way down the first page. Evidently, they are good. I swear I saw something ...

Re: renewing leather washer handle on fixed blade knife

Thanks for the help. I passed on the knife - seller wanted way too much money for it and started yelling when I didn't buy it. Really good salesman. I see knives with this type of handle from time to time and had no idea if any first aid is available for the leather. Can't buy a new handle for a wor...

renewing leather washer handle on fixed blade knife

Is there any way short of replacement to renew or improve the appearance/condition of old leather washer type handles found on some fixed blade knives such as the KaBar? I saw a WWII era USN fixed blade knife with a really bad looking leather handle, dried, shrunken in places, and was wondering if t...

Re: Fixed Blade Advice

Greyblade: Took many decades of research and being forced to buy lots of knives (for science!)
but my FAVORITE is the Camillius US Pilots/Survival knife. Best overall fixed blade I have ever owned.
Got an unused one made in '79.
