I assume you mean some kind of cold bluing solution. I have never used that, so I can't say for sure. It would be darker, but I don't know if it would be black. Also, the last time I looked, those solutions are a little pricey. Unless you have other projects in mind, you might end up spending as muc...

I think the only way I would be interested in buying one of these "clones" is if it was a knife that Bill had personally ground off the "Leverletto" etching.

I had some custom paper micarta made for a couple of knives that I plan on changing the scales. One is a RR carbon toothpick that will be rescaled using the micarta made to resemble the candy stripe scales on old Hammer and other brands. This micarta did not turn out as crisp looking as I hoped, but...

Well, you don’t have to worry about getting one with a “banana” or “boomerang” blade, it’s designed that way!

Oh yeah, definitely Asian. I’ve never seen a curved blade/handle with stiletto-style bolsters.
