@ Henry Jones- I recall a lot of this info coming from Charles Cioffero....our resident switchblade historian.

Re: IMCO knife

IMCos are great and have a very important part of History regarding the banning of switchblades in the USA. Unfortunately it looks like someone tried to grind the button flat. I have heard that the IMCOs were imported to NY before the 1954 New York switchblade ban. I have read they were being impor...

Re: IMCO knife

Based upon the condition, I agree with the $400+ estimate. If you are looking to sell, your best bet would be www.sharperdeals.net.

Re: IMCO knife

What you have is a very valuable early 1950's pick-lock, which was made by the same cutlers who made the Co.Ri.Ca.Ma knives. The craftsmanship on the IMCOs is superior to other pick-locks...I know, as have two 11" IMCOs. If you can post photos, we will have a better idea as to value. But bottom line...

Re: Latama wasp

Depending upon condition, a Latama Wasp can fetch $700+ on auction. If it is a flat guard in minty condition, it can sell for even more. Can you post photos? I am assuming you have one that you are looking to sell?

Tough decision alright.

I hope you get what this knife is worth....IF you decide to sell, that is.

Re: Rebuilding 1950s picklock

Congrats on an Awesome Score! The E.Miltenberg stamp is very rare and highly sought after by vintage stiletto knife collectors. I have been collecting vintage stilettos full time for over 6 years now and I have yet to come across this stamp. It looks like the knife measures 28cm or 11" in the open p...

Wow...you have something very special here!

With that rare stanmp, along with the color of the scales and the 33cm size...you have a very valuable knife.

This one belongs in a museum....definitely a keeper.

Re: Coricama 13" Early Italian Stiletto Switchblade Model Possibly Battle Worn WWII

I forgot to mention- if you want to research this knife properly, pick up a copy of the Switchblades Of Italy book, as it is THE Bible for vintage Italian stiletto knives. There is a lot of information in there on Coricama knives. It is a great resource that everyone in this hobby should have in the...

I agree with Bill- this is not a pristine specimen, but it would clean up beautifully if sent to the right person for restoration.
