it is not a wave it ha an assist opening system as it called...you start opening it with the thumb stud and it snaps open the rest of the way...i am guessing it happens by how tight is the kydex around the stud....

I was making a neck sheath for an old EDC i had the Kersaw Blur and when i tried on i got a surprise...
i am guessing its the open assist combined with the way the thumb stud is cut
