No ,just most of the current swing guards and swivel bolsters, marked “AKC”
Someone from 3Knives told me that AKC hasn’t produced an Italian made , AKC marked swing guard in years.
I bought a Frank B Swing guard a few months back and it’s made in Italy.

Re: can we talk akc knives, please.
I went through this same process a few months back after getting ripped off by a “reputable dealer “ and being in denial.
And I went as far as ordering a known fake from Dhgate to compare.
Bottom line ,Bill is correct, regardless of what it’s marked, they’re made in China and can be bought for $30.

Re: More love for cheap switchblades
I stopped trusting BladeHq/Grindworx after they started selling the fake AKC Swinguards. I posted here defending the knives and then after much research found out they were fakes. I even went as far as ordering one from China to compare the knives and they are the same. Grndworx had some Hubertus kn...

Re: Schrade Viper
. I rest the knife in the base of my three fingers, with the glass breaker touching the base of my pinky, the blade pointed up. My thumb is furthest from the actuator and then I just flick it up with my thumb. Either your thumbs are a heck of a lot stronger than mine, or the resistance on my button...

I got my knife out and can see I open it a little differently. I rest the knife in the base of my three fingers, with the glass breaker touching the base of my pinky, the blade pointed up. My thumb is furthest from the actuator and then I just flick it up with my thumb. To close , I release the lock...

Re: Schrade Viper
It's definitely a gimmick, and I'm probably in the minority, but I like mine. I have most of the different generations , the latest one is best with the switch button that doesn't move with the opening action. It has a separate slider to reset the blade. I don't have any advice about which is the be...

Re: Another Fake AKC
I bought two of these from GrindWorx a few months ago ( posted on another thread). The Damascus knife has a deep laser engraved logo on the blade and it's different than the clones. I emailed 3Knives and they could not confirm if it was real. Their only comment was that they don't carry them and as ...

Re: More love for cheap switchblades
I agree with Tom, I have two similar knives. They're great for the price and their quality can stand on their own merits without the fake logos. When I received mine, my only complaint was the fake branding (but it rubs right off). With that being said, the last 3 Frank B swing guards I bought ( cur...

Re: Fake AKC
It might look Chinese, but it has a single spring. I've never seen a knock-off with a one piece kick spring.
Also the fit and finish is consistent with a lower end Italian knife.
The clone is on top, with the wire spring and extra rivet.

Re: Fake AKC
Curiosity won out and I ordered one of the Grindworx AKC swing guards in stag. I don't know what they were selling when this thread was started a few months ago, but the knife I got is definitely not a China counterfeit. The counterfeit knives are slightly larger, have a different AKC logo and the b...

Re: HK (usa made) 'prototype'
H&K USA knives were made by Benchmade up until recently. I think Hogue makes the OTF's now. From what I remember some of the H&K off-shore knives came from Benchmade's off-shore line. But when Benchmade phased out the line, H&K switched to another contractor for the lower priced knives. Benchmade co...

Re: Questions about modern Stilettos
Like Kilgar, I've been carrying manual stilettos for years as a utility knife. Found out the hard way that carrying an auto stiletto in the pocket was not wise , as I had one open in my pocket. But I recently bought a small stiletto with a flat ground blade and it's plenty sharp for most light cutti...

Re: Grind Works Selling FAKE AKC knives?
The knives on the 3K site are SKM knives. The knives that were listed on Grindworx had fake AKC logos. A few days days after my post here, Grindworx listed a fake 9" AKC with the fake logo and a stainless steel frame ( and cheap belt pouch). They originally listed the 9" for $49 and then bumped it u...

Re: Grind Works Selling FAKE AKC knives?
On the clones , they grind the edge real thin, not obtuse like a real Italian. Here's a 13" , dagger blade clone ( bottom) with an Italian bayonet blade https://i.imgur.com/tzEZPl4.jpg Here's a shot of the pin in front of the kick spring, the Italian on top has a single spring. https://i.imgur.com/B...

Re: Grind Works Selling FAKE AKC knives?
I saw the listing on Grindworx and my brain saw it as SKM, because Grindworx carries SKM knives and I know that AKC usually doesn't make stilettos. But when I saw the logo I was suspicious and recognized the similarity with the clones on the Chinese commerce sites. A novice will be fooled but I can ...
