I think this is the auction you're talking about.

All three are cool looking knives, too bad they're peeking so bad.

Re: Rizzuto bidding frenzy
I guess it wasn't too optimistic after all... It was purchased with the buy out option.

Re: Rizzuto bidding frenzy
From what I've seen a $250 starting bid for a Rizzuto that isn't mint and is peaking seems a little optimistic but prices seem to be a bit inflated from where they were a couple of months ago. A batwing I was considering didn't even go the full length of the auction and closed for $400 and it wasn't...

Re: WTB Lockback Rizzuto
If you don't mind I would really appreciate it. I'm going to store some money away for one because I realize now it could be quite a while until I find one.

Re: WTB Lockback Rizzuto
That sounds like good advice to me. I should have asked sooner, if I would have known yesterday what I know now I would have bought the one on gunbroker.
Thanks again for the information, I really appreciate it!

Re: WTB Lockback Rizzuto
That's the one I was talking about. I thought the knife looked a bit rough so I didn't think it was worth $200.
I do have some Asian Rizzutos and I really like them which is why I thought I would try to get my hands on an original Italian Rizzuto.

Re: WTB Lockback Rizzuto
Yes, I do know the difference. I knew they were rare and would be pricey but I was thinking in the 300 area for a nice one (wishful thinking I guess) but that was going off the fact I just seen one that was kind of rough sell for $200.

Re: WTB Lockback Rizzuto
Wow! I knew they wouldn't be cheap but I wouldn't have guess that much. Now I feel kind of dumb for letting the $200 get away from me... I thought it looked a little rough so I didn't bid on it. I might just look into have one custom made. Thank you for the information.

WTB Lockback Rizzuto
I'm looking to purchase an original lockback Rizzuto that is in nice condition. I would prefer 10.5 inch and I'm not picky on color. I'm not sure what they're going for these days so any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: Is it bad form to announce auctions?
Any idea what a nice original Rizzuto lock back should sell for? Maybe the pictures don't do it justice but that one looks pretty rough.

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
I like Vendetta. Its cheesy enough to be kinda cool and no one could sell it as an original Italian Rizzy.

Re: Would the Rizutto ever make a 'comeback'?
Hi Everyone, I agree that building a knife that is indistinguishable from the original wouldn't be right. Since it appears to me that knife makers tend to borrow designs all the time (look how many companies have made the exact same looking stiletto) building a run of knives that are modeled off a 3...

Re: The "Good Ones List"
I still like the idea of a "bad ones list" for companies who have proven they deserve to be on it. I nominate knives4wholesale.com for it. My story: I ordered some knives from knives4wholesale almost 5 months ago and I haven't received either my knives or the refund I requested 2 months ago. Every t...
