Re: New Reference Book - Canceled

I work for a publishing company and we do small runs, even just one book. We are very small we don't have "state of the art" equipment but it is very nice, just throwing it out there. I may be in touch. I've thought about the Lulu and Createspace options. The issue then becomes promotion and distri...

Re: New Reference Book - Canceled

Whippersnapper makes a good point. Might I suggest that if you have a wealth of information you would like to share maybe it would be more financially beneficial in the long run to put it all in a website with an optional reader contribution option (maybe a "please donate to my paypal to keep this ...

Re: New Reference Book - Canceled

I'm working on a book. The big problem is the price is going to be stupid high because of the limited potentiial sales or a total loss if sold at a realistic price.

Milu what does your tag line translate to: "se me burlé, me fico un cento e vinti in tel stomego"

John

"Piss me off and I'll stick a 120 in your stomach."

A 120 was a large stiletto like tool used by the artillery for measurement. It was also used as.......a stiletto.

Re: Kick springs sticking out past handles

I'm fairly neutral, slight preferance for non-protruding. But. I do want to dispel the myth that, protruding automatically "fires harder" :!: It MAY help sales, to the uninformed  Too true the slowest opener I have has a sticking out spring. Hard and fast opening seems desirable but it only a...

Re: Kick springs sticking out past handles

I think the aesthetics of this type of knife are as important as functionality. IMHO the spring sticking out looks awful as do hollow bolsters. I know that they don't affect function but they look sloppy and I want my knives to look cool. If all I wanted was function I'd buy a cutter and a prybar.

Re: Books?

Best and greatest book is without question "Sharp, stabby, clicky things living in my sock drawer". Probably available next year.

You read about it here first :D

Re: Extrema Ratio MF1

There was a moment some years back that they built up quite a following in the US. I don't know what happened but their main agent walked and founded "Dark Ops" aka dork ops. They are very popular with collectors I know, and Righi, my favourite bricks aand mortar shop, sells a lot of them. Typically...

a little English humour

The train was quite crowded, so a U. S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well dressed, middle-aged, French woman's poodle... The war-weary Marine asked, 'Ma'am, may I have that seat?' The French woman just sniffed and said to no one in particu...

The 11th husband

11th Husband... A young man married a beautiful woman who had previously divorced 10 husbands. On their wedding night, she told her new husband to "Please be gentle; I'm still a Virgin". "What?" said the puzzled groom. "How can that be if you've been married ten times?" "Well, husband #1 was a Sales...
