Re: Everyone's first Balisong?

Mine was the a chinese model that they used to sell on bladeplay called the tank. I got a jaguar with it too but the jag broke. I eventually gave the tank to a close buddy for her birthday. She was big into native american stuff so i boxed it up with some peyote and some hawk feathers as a coming of...

Re: The blade don't close all the way in i think

That's called blade peek iirc It's not uncommon but it doesn't seriously effect the knife. In my experience it's almost always present on large stilettos. I don't think I've ever seen a 13" knife that didn't peek a bit. It used to worry me because I thought it would get worse, and maybe over time it...

Re: Storage and care of Switchblades

Is it ok to keep them in their leather holsters?

I've seen some wrapped in bubblewrap before, does that trap water in with the knives?

I'd die for a reasonably priced 10-11 inch swinguard. Been looking for something similar for quite some time.

Re: Boker Kalashnikov Damascus?

I thought Bladehq used bladeplay for their lower end sales? I loved my Kalashnikov knife. Had one with a warnclif blade. I carried it for a good many years. It held up well and stayed looking good except for some pine resin that firmly stuck itself to the blade. I eventually gave it to a kid at a gu...

Re: What’s the deal with..

I think I've heard a story about them being made by Russian prisoners as a job, similar to license plates. I've always thought that anything with that label seems to command a higher price. Because of that differance I'd be very sceptical of anything labeled in such a manner. However, I've also neve...

Re: Drone News

Did you guys ever hear the news story about the guy in New York who got a drone mailed to them accidentally. The government sent the guy half a drone for free with his weightbench.
He took pictures too.

The thing I love most about Hot Wheels is the way they pronounce it in the early commercials. The Emphasis is completely different.
They put all the emphasis on "hot".

Re: Why do people love tanto?

I've never tried to stab anything with the one tanto I have, but just from looking at the geometry I don't see why it would require more force to penetrate than other knives. you clearly know from experience, so why do you think that's the case? Well there are 2 possible issues I see, the first bei...

Re: Why do people love tanto?

Well, I think Johnny Depp is a wonderful actor but he was too campy in the role. The original Jay Silverheels was much better, with his taciturn manner. nice, I guess the topic could have been a bit confusing purely by the name. "Supposedly" the tanto blade was designed as an armor-piercing blade. ...
