Even states where they are illegal they are still sold pretty much in the open. When I lived in Ma. the Marlboro show had several dealers that sold them openly, and also in Conn. they also sold them openly from newer types to vintage knives. The N.C.C.A. puts on both shows. Jim

Whippersnapper is correct, a few years ago the attys. general in both New York and Ill. pursued a couple of dealers for sending knives to customers in their respective states, I believe Phils fine cutlery was one of them Jim

I have used fishing reel oil and sewing machine oil with great success use sparingly. Some people over oil their knives which can affect some scale material.
