Re: Identification of switchblade knife

Great knife, it has seen some wear and use. BREVETTATO is simply the equivalent to 'PATENTED" some of these are also marked with the "EIG" stamp. The celluloid scales are somewhat unusual on these. Its probably worth around $80. Dan

Re: German Gravity Knife

Tom Unsco was an American importer of knives post 1950. That knife looks like a grafrath to my eyes with the import stamp but it could be any german maker that actually made this style of gravity knife . I love those gravity knives and i think it was a great buy but they dont show up often this sid...

Re: Old Frosolone campobasso, more info?

Man i have to disagree with 600-700 dollars when 13" and 11" coricamas and Latamas are still going for 1500 then this knife is worth more , its more rare and very very old made sometime before WW2. if you look at the cover of the book (switchblades of italy) the knife on the far left is a d.piscate...

Re: Old Frosolone campobasso, more info?

Very neat knife with nice and clean stampings. Great find. I would probably hedge a guess that it will fetch in the 600 - 700 range.
The knife market just does not seem to be what it was 10 years ago.

Cheers, Dan

Re: Latama Switchblade quesions

Gorgeous Latama, It's probably worth around $250, the market is down and a lot of people own Latamas that want them. Still, a Cadillac of knives and wonderful piece. This tang stamp is known as block stamp / block Lettering I think. Also, it is missing its original safety cap. Dan
