Re: bradley skipper
I don't want to prolong the discussion, but while refreshing my memory of the dispute I came across this complaint: http://usacomplaints.com/internet-web/142742-swinguards-italian-switchblade-knives-swinguards-brad-skipper-swinguard-knives-swinguard-switchblade-complaints-reviews.html The author see...

Re: Lelle Floris
Not sure I'm following. You mean the Sardinian Knives site or the Latama site or the SKM site? Sorry, I meant the Sardinian knives. I still think the ornamentation around the opening button on some of them (like the one below) looks very steampunk, but on repeated viewing I have grown to like them:...

Re: Lelle Floris
I love that knife. It looks great. I really like that they’ve chamfered the edge of the blade by the locking hole, just like on the old picklocks (I don’t know why Latama and SKM and so forth don’t do that now because it’s a nice touch, even if it doesn’t make much any appreciable practical differen...

Re: Any input on AB's 9" Picklocks?
Anyone dealing with foreign exchange should be aware that you always lose money changing one currency to another and back again. If you convert $100 into Euros to pay a company and that company repays the exact same number of euros into your account, you won't get $100 back. Buy and sell rates are a...

Re: Why do people love tanto?
nice, I guess the topic could have been a bit confusing purely by the name. Well, not unless you had called the knife a "Tonto"! The tanto blade seems horribly inefficient for any sort of stabbing type action … I'm not a fan of the shape myself, but how often do people stab things? The lack of a go...

Re: Disgusting
When I first saw this movie as a kid, I thought taping a knife to your leg must be some cool street gang thing, but when I got older I just wondred what the point of it was. Seems like a really unsecure and inconvenient place to put a knife. And how does merely opening a swithcblade knife and asking...

Re: how does a humpback knife work
Yes, you're right, at least some do use a coil spring. Never having owned one, I'd forgotten about that. Can you change the spring easily or do the knives have to be disassembled by a cutler (or at least by someone who knows what they're doing)? In my opinion, the hump spoils the nice clean lines of...

Re: how does a humpback knife work
Opening is the same as any stiletto but to close you press the hump, which raises the locktab and releases the blade.

Each to their own. You're not alone in liking it, but I think the majority were against it in another thread.

Re: Superior-Italy New Plain Blade-Egyptian horn
Congratulations on your new knife. I have to say, though, that, apart from the blade grind, which I like, there doesn’t appear to be much of a point of difference between it and the other swivel bolster stilettos already on offer. And I’m sorry but I’m one of those people who don’t like the stamp on...

Re: Bonsa shellpuller w/bail
How well do the shellpullers actually work? Not having one of these knives or a shotgun, I'm assuming that you have to slip them on from the side of the cartridge and because there are different gauges on each side of the knife, it would presumably be impossible to centre the pullers on the cartridg...

I've had a Mini Socom for about 14 years and it's a great knife. Small but plenty of usable blade. Sharp as, and locks up super tight.

Re: Size Comparison
I'm surprised at people saying the 13-inch are more intimidating and scary. To me, once they get that big they start to look like toys!

Re: Help value these AK 47 and Bargeon knives???
To be fair, he listed it at the other site the day before he posted here, though it's still a good question as to why he asked for advice here after already advertising it at another site. And why he asked for advice on value if he didn't intend to do anything with that information. Though I do wond...

Re: Size Comparison
Presumably you're talking about traditional Italian-style stilettos. If so, when you talk about "natural to operate", you have to bear in mind that these knives are extremely limited in their application. In the 1950s, they were considered a novelty item by their makers and even the best-quality one...
