I've been learning alot on these forums and have everyone here to thank for the info that helps me find the knives of my dreams, the kind I've always wished I could have, but never knew how to...

10" Reproduction Frosolone White Pearl

I just recieved this knife direct from the makers in Italy and can't be more pleased with it. The specs are on the Certificate (pictured) and I've linked the 3 posts of it's progression. Thank You Mr. Lucio Di Bon and Mr. Pascotto for a new pearl in my collection. It is a hefty knife so it is a very...

Re: 1970s Pacific Cutlery Butterfly

Jeff, I believe your smallest Bali was actually made in the mid-1980s. I had one just like yours that I bought new in 1985 or 1986, but unfortunately, it was stolen in 1994. I would like to own one of the early 80s Balis. I remember reading about them as a teenager, but could not afford one....

Re: James Dean's switchblade...

Hey Jeff, I was told that pic at the dressing room door was photo shopped. The knife was added in. I heard the same thing, but wasn't too sure. I believe it though. Bill DeShivs said there was a real search for the knife (knives) at one tme but it was a dead end and the real knife (knives) are gone...

Re: James Dean's switchblade...

Could they have used more than one switchblade in the movie? I heard that in the Dirty Harry movies both 6 inch & 8 inch .44 mag. revolvers were used. Movie prop "switch ups" in the same scene is very common. Also you need more than one knife for a motion picture in case something happens to it. Ma...

Re: Czech para gravity knife CZ77

Man I still want one of these, the asking price (if David has any available ) is just a little higher than my will to get it. The story and the maker of these makes it harder to resist. I really like the design and looks. It's got an old fashioned quality look to it. The stamped frame reminds me of ...

Re: James Dean's switchblade...

There were threads on SD forum about this knife. It was a 13" for sale and a picture of James Dean holding a 9" ( and another w/ an 11" knife.)................. Weird. I guess he claimed the angle of the photo made the 13" he had for sale look like an 8" leverlock in one pic he had, and an 11" stile...
