Spotlight and Jim,

I'm sorry to hear about your Dads passing. Had they been ill?
My Dad is getting up there in the years...he seems healthy, but I still can't help but think about it.

This is heartbreaking. He really stepped up as THE forum guy when Pushbutton left us. He was was a great guy and friend to us all.

I've got a lump in my throat that will take a long, long time to go away.

There'll never be another one like him. Damn...

LEPRE Hunters?

Hi Bill, Do you know anything about all these LEPRE switchblades popping up on the auctions lately? Every one that I've seen is in mint condition, so I'm assuming these knives have been recently built from NOS parts? And they're really nicely put together, with super stag or horn. Just an absolutely...

You're welcome, Natch. You are going to love this knife. And honestly, with that super nice horn and kriss blade I think that one is the most beautiful of the square buttons he's made yet. You definitely got it right. I've been dreaming about one just like that for a while, and the horn you got is n...

That's a jaw-dropper :o Excellent choice of model. Burn's 13" square buttons are awesome looking, and that kriss blade is gorgeous. I've got an 11" Burn Black Beauty, and let me say, you will be amazed at the build quality, fit, and finish of Paul's knives. And the snap is unbelievable. I love the c...

Yeah, me too :D

My all time favorite though is, "Hey, hold my beer and watch this!"

No tellin' how many times that's been said before the funniest disaster someone's ever seen.

Mr. Natcherly, I too have experienced the literal "slip-in" spring. I have a 13" picklock that I can slip in and slip out the spring with a little help from a pair of needle nose pliers (with a cloth in the teeth soz I don't scratch anything), so that's why I tried getting this one out. I guess the ...

Thanks, Bill! I may just save this project for later when I've got a little more mangling experience. The blade needs some serious attention too, to get some very bad sharpening marks out, and it would be a lot easier to do with the knife apart. But the bolsters are perfect and the horn is beautiful...

It would be a fun challenge and education...plus, the knife was a freebee so it wouldn't hurt my walle...
