I know that's right! How did it come to this? Oh, wait.... it's all the damn knives we've bought. More expensive than a heroin habit and nowhere as fun.

Re: The Passing of Pete Wehs aka Tequiza

Like Barb, I also learned of Pete's passing from Mike on Facebook. I always liked Tequeza .....ALOT! I'll never forget the surprise gift of a pound of his smoked bacon one year. I was worried he might not continue his love of BBQ once he moved to Guam. Unlikely......right? Pete will be missed greatly.

Re: PVK knife & tool

anybody ever go to PVK in las vegas? Heading down there soon and wondered if it would be worth stopping by... Do they have a big inventory compared to what's online? Will they let you walk out with an automatic knife or do they ship it to you? I thought nevada/vegas had some pretty strict knife law...

Re: WTB Benchmade Infidel

I don't have an Infidel but if you are looking for OTFs, I have a Protech Dark Angel. Jim: If you're still sitting on that Dark Angel in a month or so, let me know. I've been after one for a while now, but it's been tough to get my knife-buying budget in line with knife availability for the last co...

Re: Switchblade knives

I tried taking pic and attaching but it keeps saying file to large Randy: You need to lay your hands on an old copy of Photoshop or something similar. Photoshop contains a save setting called "Save For Web" that allows you to shrink the image file size for upload to web-sites and forums. At least t...

Re: Happy Birthday omega !

You should have tuffed it out in Florida till the spring. Unless you were being abused by the hottie. Sammy: That's not to far from the truth, LOL. The hottie was a fellow musician I was doing gigs with, until I discovered she was skimming on my end of the $$$ earned from our bookings. That killed ...

Re: Happy Birthday omega !

I'm Back! Been reading all the kind birthday wishes! Many thanks! December 2018 was pretty shitty as Barb described, but everything has settled down now and plain old normal chaos is the order of the day again. Sammy: Florida was a mess and I'm back in Kansas City just in time for the Polar Vortex. ...

Re: *FINAL* Sign-up For Commemorative Knife To Honor Rick Giroux

I would like to show you what my Rick Giroux commemorative knives look like! Then the last knife is the new AGA Campolin "Zero"! THANK you Stratman for showing me this knife, which I added to my shipment at the last minute!! I'm doing my " anxiety, knife-in-the-pipe " dance right now. Just as I was...

Re: *FINAL* Sign-up For Commemorative Knife To Honor Rick Giroux

Angelo Campolin said: "Dear Barbara, your email made me very happy. My colleagues and I have made this order with love in memory of Rick. Goodbye and best regards, Angelo" Barb: I'm so happy the way things turn out with this project. Having AGA do the run of RMG commemorative knives turned out to be...

Re: *FINAL* Sign-up For Commemorative Knife To Honor Rick Giroux

No problem, Barb! With all the craziness due to the weather and the holidays, no one is going to die over their knife being delayed. We've got 8" of snow on the ground, with more due this coming weekend. That daily trip to the post office would be a huge pain-in-the-ass, if you had our conditions in...

Re: *FINAL* Sign-up For Commemorative Knife To Honor Rick Giroux

With regard to the rules and the posting of content addressing shipping, Customs issues, etc., this forum's newer users should keep in mind that the forum's rules in this area date back to a time prior to state decriminalization in most areas. While there's been lots of favorable progress with that,...

Re: New (for me) knife website

Nicnac.net is Nick & Joyce's site. I started viewing that site as far back as 2004 if memory serves. The site was quite active back in the old Bladeauction.com days, but I haven't spent much time on the Nicnac.net site in recent years. Nick/Joyce did business as HORIZON OUTDOOR and likely still do ...

Re: Looking to Buy / Paragon AKTO

Is Paragon still on business? The name and production rights were sold to Asheville Steel some years ago. See: http://ashevillesteel.com/ Some models (or decent versions thereof) are still produced by Asheville, such as the Para-X single action OTF, which most will remember as Paragon's ATKO-10. As...

Re: **NEW** Commemorative Knife TO COME, Honoring Rick Giroux

I'm gonna stay with my original preference, the Sicilian. The Picalo is too small for my fat hands. The Diana model would take up too much real estate in my pocket.

Re: *NEW* Choose New Knife For Rick Giroux's

Omega.. thanks for posting that video.. nice to see it closer up. No problem, Mike! I'm glad I found it. The video depicts a Brazilian horn model, not the simple black horn Barb has been discussing. I find the Brazilian horn more attractive than simple black, but I guess that's a matter of taste. W...
