Re: Movie Switchblades
In the new Rolling Stones documentary "Crossfire Hurricane", Mick Jagger does a bump of something (probably cocaine) off the tip of a switchblade at around the 4:45 mark. I'm no expert, but it looks kind of like a Rizzuto to me, This footage is probably from the early 70's. It's pretty well document...

Re: The fall of an American Icon
I bought a Chicago Schwinn last summer very similar to one I had when I was a kid. It was a lot of fun to get it back working again, but after riding more modern bikes for the last several years, i really noticed that Schwinn is HEAVY!! There are still bikes made in the USA, but most of them are pre...

Re: The fall of an American Icon
I might follow this more closely than some of you. I love to ride and love to watch the Tour de France every year. I have mixed feelings about all of it. One one hand, maybe half the people he was competing against were also doping. The whole sport was very dirty for a long time. He probably would h...

Re: Latest Democrat Strategy - Get 'Em While They're Young
I found out about this service quite a while back by mistake. I sent Ronald Reagan an invitation to my high school graduation as a joke because I had extra invitations left over. A few weeks later I received a congratulations card from him and Nancy. It was pretty cool, but I would have preferred a ...

Anytime I state the TRUTH , someone [left or right] "rakes me over the coals" But, I defy anyone to show where, in the Bill of Rights, odismal is cxonsidered a whole human  Don't blame me, blame the Bill of Rights :| I am not following at all! What part of the Bill of Rights has someth...

I STILL [/i] haven't heard how he was able to pass ALL [/u] those drug tests. He just resigned as chairman of Livestrong, his charitable foundation... The riders usually knew a day in advance when they were going to be tested. When they were surprised, and were dirty, they hid from the investigator...

Re: a solution to both candidates.
Or just vote for Gary Johnson, who is the actual Libertarian candidate on the ballot in 47 states. It is unfortunate that the corrupt Commission on Presidential Debates has excluded him from the national debates (along with the Green Party candidate) although they are both theoretically capable of w...

Re: Sasquatch Sighting
You are right. It is a shame the animals that attack have to be killed, but they do. Once an animal has attacked a human, it has to be killed for the protection of other people, even though the animal was not at fault. This reminded me of the story of a bear attack in Kentucky a couple of years ago:...

Ha! and the first replay looks like maybe it was supposed to be a PM. It had nothing to do with the topic!
This is a funny place. The longest thread I can think of about knives was a 4 or 5 page discussion of how to open a ratchet knife one-handed!

Re: The perfect knife ???
I agree that there's no such thing as a perfect knife. I tend to rotate 8 or 10 into use every few weeks and pick one for my pocket each day based on what I may be doing... probably unnecessary, but also part of being a knife nut! My perfect knife changes just about every day, and I also have dozens...

Very nice! What size are they? As Tom said, they look like a very usable pocket knife (if they aren't real big) I was just thinking about how my Camillus TL-29 is probably one my favorite EDC knives, and these are similar shape, with similar spear point blades. But with the added benefit of being au...

Re: Social media vs knife forums
I think most of the factors have already been addressed, and I agree with all of them. Personally, I do use Facebook a lot more than I did before. It has replaced much of the time I spent on this, and a couple of other forums. But I don't think facebook will ever be a replacement for the forum exper...

Also, I'm surprised Qatar sent a woman to represent them in the Olympics, with a "gun" no less.
