Re: New MT LUDT
Just for curiosity sake, where do you but Galil parts/kits? Sounds interesting 8) I don't know anymore where you can buy a Galil parts kit.....they have not been available in quite a while....a dealer called federal arms corp used to sell them....but they were an outrageous price...by the time you b...

Re: New MT LUDT
I think you spelled it right the first time,I just was seeing double at the time. Yeah I just question if a Galil mag would be any more plentiful and if so any less expensive. I may just say heck with it and buy the mags specifically for this rifle. They would be new and I would be more comfo...

Re: New MT LUDT
They are called "Lightening marks" as I mentioned in my previous post....the milled receiver AK-47...Valmet....Galil....have the "lightening marks" My milled receiver Bulgarian SA-93 and SLR95 have the lightening marks also. :) Cool. I learn something every time I come here. Ahhh "lightENing marks....

Re: New MT LUDT
I don't know about the Golani [specifically] but almost all AK deriveitives accept AK mags. Take one of yours to a gun dealer and compare  The Golani is more of a "Galil" copy and a 223 so it is a little different. I'm no AK expert so I will do a little research  (I know you know this,j...

Re: New MT LUDT
In Vagrant's first pic you can see an odd "milled-out" place in front of the mag, same as mine, the only thing I can assume is that this is a spot where extra weight can be removed. It has no other real benefit. Love the wood on that Valmet. I love my folding stock but I prefer the rifle with the sto...

Re: New MT LUDT

Re: New MT LUDT
I have one, it IS a GREAT gun  Wiki [incorretly] claims they have a stamped and riveted receiver :? Other sources [and my gun] assert they are Forged and milled  I'll believe "a gun in the hand" over any website  The M76 they show in the picture has a stamped receiver.....I prefer...

Re: New MT LUDT
Nice knife. 8) The Golani looks like a Galil...accept no lightening marks on the receiver....nice rifle. Thanks. I always loved the Galil but can't afford a real one. This jewel cost less than half and it has some nice features, the barrel is a little heavier and has a milled receiver. Her...
