In Need of a History Lesson
Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could school me on a certain aspect of Italian stiletto history? Why did they switch (no pun intended) from manufacturing picklocks as the standard to making swivel bolsters, since it seems that swivels are a bit inferior in terms of "durability" - the backspring'...

Re: Need Advice on Correcting Blade Play. Can it be done?
It was more "light tapping" with a nail set then "hammering". I think you're right though, I believe the pin might be a little too long.

The E.T.'s a little too futuristic for me.

Re: Need Advice on Correcting Blade Play. Can it be done?
Sorry guys, the digital camera is non-operational. I tried hammering the pin, but it didn't work. No improvement whatsoever. I'll keep trying to figure it out though - it's a shame 'cause she's a beauty. Anyone living in the Toronto area knowledgeable about these things?

Need Advice on Correcting Blade Play. Can it be done?
Hey there everybody, Just got my hands on a new shotshell puller, one problem though. It has excessive blade-play, side-to-side, while in lock-up. Can this be fixed? It's pretty bad. If you hold onto the knife and shake your hand from side-to-side you can actually hear the blade jiggle back and forth.

Re: Cold steel triple action
I've heard quite a few people criticize the quality of the aluminum handles, that they're a bit "too soft". I've never owned one, but was curious myself. Fred Perrin makes a knife that's uses the same design, although his is smaller - I think it's called the "tri-folder" http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Fortune Sales price increase???
Just to let you guys know, prices have gone up again, even on some knives previously marked up. One was marked up about $20. Moral of the story, if there's something you've been thinking about getting from Stu act quickly as the price may go up higher.

Cold Steel Lg. Voyager Tanto plain edge - $30 shipped
Selling off my Cold Steel Large Voyager Tanto. Excellent condition. Carried a couple of times, but that's it. The heads of the screws on the pocket clip have the tiniest amount of wear, just because I took the pocket clip off when I carried it in my back pocket. Other than that, it's in "new" condit...

Fortune Sales price increase???
Has anyone else noticed that Stu's prices have gone up on some knives? I just checked out his 9 inch stiletto page, as I do just about every day, and the prices have been marked up on some, but not others. For example, the price of the FB green acrylics have gone up and those "German" FBs have gone ...

Hey Dart,
Are you referring to the Ragweed site? If so, yeah, he is talking about how he closes the knife.

My interest is re-peaked. Just ordered another two to mess around with. Can't stay away from the buggers.
