I was thinking more of seeing what is there not bringing one home! I wouldn't either. I keep hearing some guys say there are still older knives for sale at good prices. Just wondering what the truth is.....

At the last Mystic show there was a 11" Frank B swing guard with horn handles selling for $85. I passed his table three times and looked at it a few times. Red and Orange? The red ones came in different shade but were still red. I have never seen one with a bayonet blade. Please send a picture. The older better ones had a false edge on the standard blade. Perhaps you're calling that a bayonet blade? Ala John had a ton of these and sold them cheap.....

The second run had dagger blades and were not as well made. Colors were black, blue and red with a orange look....

First the older collectors will tell you in the 1990s the quality of Italian models was really bad. That was before the internet brought back some demand and things got some what better. China has terrible steel but the fit can be more consistent.
