Re: Questions about modern Stilettos

Bill is right, but I have a Queen #H1 Swing guard/Lockback with a D2 steel blade that looks great and is a workhorse It was converted to automatic and uses the Queen escutcheon as a button. The Ganzo 707 is a great alternative (if you can find one). They have the bayonet/Italian stiletto look you wa...

Re: New AKC F-20

I see it as an "improvement" on the F-16. The fact that there is an alternative "drop-point" blade makes the knife more amenable to EDC. Its "working" profile makes it attractive to the average buyer.

Interesting, but similar to the F-16.

Re: Posts

It is flooding in some NW Oregon counties. There is water covering some of the roads. There is a high wind warning in my area until 10 am PST.

Re: I have a nice two-tone blade Microtech Dirac

Never got in to the otf knives too much. I have a couple lightnings and they don't interest me enough to invest in a quality otf. Really can't afford a Microtech. I confess, Tazman Tom sold me this one. At $190.00 I couldn't pass it up. I want another Microtech, but I'll have to wait until I can af...

Re: I have a nice two-tone blade Microtech Dirac

Thank you, Sammy. I believe that Microtech is an excellent "go-to" source for OTF automatic knives. (Piranha isn't bad either).

Re: I have a nice two-tone blade Microtech Dirac

. Dec 13, 2021: "The Bayonet blade is okay, but this OTF (Piranha "Rated R" OTF) is bringing a nice 3.5" clip-point blade to the table. This particularly useful profile appeals to me and doesn't carry the "stigma" of being a "toad-stabber" or "pig-sticker" (read: looks menacing). The clip point is ...

I have a nice two-tone blade Microtech Dirac

It is Microtech Dirac D/E "Standard" 225 -1 serial #554 manufactured in May of 2019. The 204P steel dagger blade holds a wicked edge and hides away nicely in my trousers front pocket. The action is "slicker than greased owl scat" and tight as a tick. This is a great EDC knife. (and my firs...

Re: Mexican marked switchblade

Those are interesting knives. I don't know if there are any other autos made in Mexico. A lot of sold in Mexico ones but not made there. The bolsters are aluminum on steel liners so they are pinned on. Most of the ones I have seen must have peeked when they were made because the blade can't fit any...

The Harlem bar scene, featuring Duke the Crow from the 1972 X-rated Animated Feature Film "Fritz The Cat".

Watch the 9 minutes of "Fritz Goes To A Bar In Harlem" scene. This is a real blast from the past. Notice Duke the Crow's swing guard switchblade toward the end of the film clip. (Now, go on and tell me this isn't a scream).  (BTW, I think it has coolness). https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Piranha "Rated R" OTF

I do believe that I snagged that last of the blue-handled, black firing-slide, mirror-polished, clip-point blade models. To paraphrase the immortal words of Duke The Crow from the 1972 X-rated animated feature film Fritz The Cat, "I think it has coolness" 8) VICTORY from the jaws of defeat...
