Re: My "grail" knife will soon be a realty!

That Scarperian reproduction is a beauty! I'm having this made so that I can carry it in an open-top friction leather sheath (with a basket weave pattern). This will be done in memory of my sainted father.

I bought a Gerber Empower

I can't post a picture but the knife is wonderful! I recommend it for EDC. At $124.99 on Grindworx, it is a great carry blade. :D

Re: Buck 110 Autos

I bought both a Buck 110 Auto Elite (nickel silver bolsters and CPM-S30V steel blade) and a 110 Auto (brass bolsters and a 420HC steel blade). I carry the Auto Elite because the bolsters won't corrode in the leather pouch.

I want to publicly thank you Bill.

Thanks to you and Jeremy Kreis, he will finally faithfully recreate my father's 1938 10 3/4" Latama Fishtail Picklock complete with Brazilian cow horn as well as a 4mm 1095 blade and back spring, just like dad's original knife! It will be as if dad were alive and, once again, working on the deck of ...

My "grail" knife will soon be a realty!

Everyone that knows me at all knows about my father's 1938 Latama Fishtail Picklock that he carried in a holster along with a marlinspike with an adjustable end wrench silver soldered onto it. Thanks to Bill DeShivs guidance, I have contracted Jeremy Kreis to recreate dad's 1938 10 3/4" Latama Fisht...

I am moving my things from St. Helens, Oregon 34 miles down the Columbia River (along U.S. 30). I'll be 31 miles from Astoria, Oregon.

Blessings to all and stay healthy.

I'll be moving on Monday morning.

Cross your fingers for me. I'm not worried about becoming ill, but this is going to be a big pain in the @$$. The town I'm moving to has a population of about 1800 people.

Keep me in your prayers.

Re: Is anyone into Pachislo Slot Machines?

I have been looking at a couple of inexpensive "token" slots. (Hours of cheap entertainment). What does it cost to ship one of those things? I got a screaming deal. It will cost $13.99 to shave it shipped. Most will cost between $110-$150 to ship. They last a long time and the "skill stop...

Re: So what you all going to do?

No reason to panic. (The media is attempting to elicit a panic response in the public). I'll be moving to a place 61 miles from Portland downriver from the city (36 miles from the next largest town and 42 miles from the beach).
