Just saw "song of the thin man" last night...looked like a clip point blade, but couldn't really see the handle...I'm thinking it was an American knife...can anyone confirm what it was?

Would be interested in Kriss blade, maybe honey horn?

Although I'm hardly a collector, am awestruck by some of the assemblages I've seen, where for some reason, there is a definitive leaning towards picklocks as being "better" than the modern swivel bolsters. If this is the case, why so, and what makes them more desireable? Also, there's been this disc...

so what's the difference between pearlex and acrylic...or are they the same thing...I see several dealers use pearlex in their descritions, while AB/SKM says acrylic...
