Re: Imitation Horn

Many of the characters in that show were very slightly modified versions of real people-I knew several of them.

The real Omar was a VERY bad man, in the words of Wes Hardin, he needed killing. In real life, he was no fun at all.

Re: Imitation Horn

A small note-when New York drug dealers moved into Baltimore, they called it Mayberry.

Then they were reminded that Baltimore has been renowned as a source for shooters in the underworld for generations-watch "The Wire" and you'll get the idea.

Many died, nobody misses them

Re: Imitation Horn

Woe indeed, as our country is on the verge of falling apart! History tells us (not the most reliable source, but...) the situation before the Civil War was much like our current state of affairs, deep divisions not easily defined. but held fiercely just the same. These will be interesting times-I re...

Re: Imitation Horn

Marijuana prohibition was passed in 1933, a reaction by the distillers and brewers afraid of losing customers-before that, it was legal. If a sudden outbreak of sanity was to grip the nation (fat chance!), we'd see a lot of the foolish and patronizing laws repealed. People who are dumb enough to use...

Re: Imitation Horn

Here in MD affray is a partial defense to common assault-but both parties are liable to a charge of Disorderly Conduct.. With the distressing prevalence of ''shamers'' and other screwballs who verbally or worse set upon anyone they disapprove of for no good reason this is a very common charge today,...

Re: Imitation Horn

I still stop in, but have little left to say. Mostly, I glean bits of wisdom from the posts of others. Reading the posts, I'm reminded of Dante-"I did not know that Death had undone so many" The Inferno. Not many forums left, trolls and catfishing has ruined the internet-what discussion there is is ...

The Calibro

I rarely see any mention of the Calibro shell puller knife. I have several, and find them very useful indeed. The shell puller isn't as useful as it once was, with paper shells pretty much gone away, but not so long ago, hunters often reloaded their shells in camp, after the days shooting, and paper...

Re: Trapdoor

All that would be needed is a bail, and the swing-guard becomes the Rizzuto...except that the Italian swing guard predates the Rizzuto by decades.

The Rizzuto is a copy of a classic Italian design. And rather an inferior one, too.

Re: POLL: Tools or Weapons?

A claw hammer is a tool.

It is also a deadly weapon, if used as such.

Ditto a blade of any kind, if it'll cut anything, it'll serve as a weapon, at need.

The sheeple never quite grasp this.
