The problem with any individually applied markings is that anyone, at any time, can mark items any way they want.

They used to. AKC, Fox and several others used to set up there. I haven't been recently.

Squirt it full of WD 40 and flush it out. Pull on the ring while doing so. It should close, but there is something in the mechanism binding it.

Videos of disassembly of customers' knives will be helpful. I can actually show them everything that is wrong before the work is done.
I can do tutorials also. Things are better explained when you can both hear and see the work.

Here are my three, two for sure, the kriss I have been told is Latama and has the patent number on the back tang. 7",8" & 11"

While the kris knife probably was made by the same maker that made Latamas, it's not a Latama unless so marked.
