Re: CORICAMA Transitionals/Swivel Bolsers / South America?

2 of HSS's Coricamas have steel bolsters, making them very late ones.
Both of the knives have early-style buttons and safeties, though.

Re: Folding Latama with sheath?

I don't think Coricama had members per-se.
While Coricama did manufacture cutlery, they also brokered for many makers in Maniago. I do know of one big display stiletto marked "Coricama" that was made by Lepre.

Re: Folding Latama with sheath?

Lepre was the outfit that made many of the Italian folding bowies.
I suspect they made yours, too.

Re: identifying a particular type of knife

I don't think that general question can be adequately answered here. You will need a general pocketknife book that pictures all the different patterns. There are also sub-divisions of those paterns, and knives that fit no pattern at all. If you post a picture, we probably can get you headed in the r...

When someone has a temper like that and posts obscenities, there's bound to be trouble.

Re: Preliminary photos of Dad's collection

There seems to be a lot of jealousy, insecurity and childishness in the switchblade community. Most of it is pretty easy to see. I'm used to it. Some people want/need to be the "king" of something. I'm just a guy who has been working on knives for 50 years. There are many who know a lot more than I ...

Re: Folding Latama with sheath?

Or, folding Bowie. The knife was made in Maniago by Lepre for Latama. It appears to be in excellent condition and it is a very rare Latama model. Latama didn't actually make knives. They were a US importer that was involved in The Maniago cutlery business. They contracted from many makers. Lepre was...

Re: 4 Angry OTFs

I could be wrong on the date. There hasn't been much change in this model in a long time. It's a G.O. Massaro made knife. Nice Italian utilitarian knife.
