Re: Latama picklock weak spring
The springs are best left alone.
If the knife opens reliably, there is nothing wrong with it.

Re: Burl scale question
I would probably use Super glue, but it will be difficult around the raised pin heads.

Re: 8" Edwin Jay/ Coricama
Here is an interesting Edwin Jay 8" that recently came through the shop.
This knife was untouched until I put a spring in it.
Obviously, it is a Coricama, made for Hoffritz- but the rear marking was ground off at the factory and "Made in Italy" was stamped there.

Re: Tabbed stiletto points
The knives with the blade you are referring to are much older than your knife. Someone just went after yours with a file to make it more pointy or to repair a damaged tip.

Re: Tabbed stiletto points
I doubt that knife had the tabbed point.
More likely, it was bent and filed out.

Re: Latama 12CM Picklock Closeups
Your knife is an early Latama flat guard, wasp body knife that has rare pearl celluloid overlaid handles.
If everyone looks at the excellent pictures, you can see that the handles are not one homogeneous material. The top layer is a thin layer of celluloid. It is overlaid on a base of blond cow horn.

Re: Miniature Switchblade knife
It is one of the more desirable versions. Unfortunately, the blade tip is broken, and there appears to be a problem with it locking open. This will greatly affect value.
